First Time Home Buyers
Transition from
Military Housing

Anthony: We were preparing to purchase our first home after years of living in military housing. We attended a class on base for first-time home buyers, but Shari covered much more information that we got in class… She helped me understand financing and home valuation, and how much we could spend based on my military pension.

Deborah: Shari really listened to what we wanted and didn't just try to make a sale. She worked hard to find a house that would fit us. We had worked with another realtor who wasn't nearly as thorough. I appreciated how she worked at finding what was right for us.

Anthony: Shari pointed out the pros and cons of every house we looked at. One house we particularly liked had problems with drainage.

She pointed that out and also showed us termite damage on another home we looked at. She showed us potential problems, but she let us make our own decisions. She was on point about everything!

Deborah: When we looked at houses, Shari really looked at every appliance, she inspected the exterior of the house, and she took time to show us everything we should take into consideration about every house.

There was a point when I was really discouraged about finding the right house and she told me, "Don't worry, there's a home for you." And she was right. We love this house because of the room. We wouldn't have gotten this much space in a brand-new home for the same price.

Anthony: She also saved us money. She negotiated for us, and the seller agreed to all of our requests.

She was an outstanding advocate for us from start to finish. She didn't have to be there when we signed our closing contract and got our keys, but she was there.

Deborah: And she even helped us move in!
